The weather is turning colder and snow is in the forecast.  So what do vegans prepare and eat as comfort food with their busy schedules?

Split Pea Soup of course, but no ordinary split pea soup!  This 6 INGREDIENT vegan split pea soup is to die for!

Preparation time is only about 10 minutes. Once all the ingredients are thrown into the crockpot, just forget about it until about eight hours later and then enjoy this easy delicious soup.  Packed with flavor and healthy as fu&%!



1 16 oz. Package Dried Split Peas

5 Carrots Peeled and Diced

2 t Garlic Powder

1/3 cup Premium Better Than Bouillon Seasoned Vegetable Base

12 cups Water

Black Pepper to Taste (I used about a teaspoon)




Rinse the peas. Put them in crockpot.  Add the rest of the ingredients.  Like all of my recipes, this one can be altered for what you have on hand.  Don’t have garlic powder? Use fresh! Or dice up some onions.  Soup can be changed up in most ways.  Stress over ingredients and soup should not be in the same sentence!


Turn your crockpot setting onto low.  Let the soup cook on its own for about 8 hours.  A little longer won’t hurt.   This is the perfect soup to throw together in the morning when you have to leave the house all day for work.  Easy!  When you get back home, your meal is waiting for you.
