So you’re thinking about transitioning to the vegan lifestyle.  You know animal cruelty is wrong.  You don’t like anything about the slaughter process, but how are you ever going to give up cheese?

You can do this.   Vegan meat and dairy alternatives are flooding grocery stores and restaurants.  Now has never been a better time to go vegan.

Like you, I thought the same things.  What am I going to cook?  How am I going to live without cheese?

I was known for my “famous” animal meat and dairy dishes.  How in the Hell was I supposed to live on plants?

Where was I going to get my protein?  Yes, I really went there at the beginning!

It’s shameful what I had believed about animal agriculture most of my life (by burying my head in the sand), but I feel enlightened at my new outlook on life; my vegan life.

I have been a vegan for four years now.  It’s one of the best decisions I have ever made and I wish I would have done it sooner.  SPOILER ALERT—said every vegan after making the leap to this compassionate lifestyle.

With that in mind, over the last few days we’ve been sampling some great vegan meat and dairy alternatives with mind blowing results.  These are perfect for us hardcore vegans and even hardcore meat and dairy eaters.

The taste is awesome and no animal has been harmed.  It’s a win win for everyone.  Why wouldn’t everyone want to eat these great meals?

The two we are showcasing today are easy, cheap, quick and beyond delicious!  You will love them both.

1 16 oz. Package Meatless Crumbles

1 Onion Diced

1 Green Pepper Diced

2 Cans Manwich

2 T Nutritional Yeast

Bread or Hamburger Buns

Vegan Cheese (Optional)

½ Cup Water to Steam the Crumbles and Vegetables

Place crumbles in large fryer pan over medium heat with the ½ cup of water to steam cook.  Add the onion and green pepper. Stir and cook until water has evaporated.  Mix in two cans of Manwich Sloppy Joe Mix or equivalent.  Turn heat down to low and let flavors incorporate.  Place opened hamburger buns on plate. Scoop sloppy joe mixture on top of bottom bun.  Sprinkle with nutritional yeast and top with vegan cheese.  Place in microwave for 10-20 seconds until cheese is melted. Top with other slice of bun and enjoy.  You will not be able to resist these delightful Joes.   These are addictive and absolutely delicious.  Vegans will love them.  Meat eaters won’t be able to tell the difference.

1 16 oz. Package of Earth Grown Hot Dogs

1 16 oz. Jar of Sauerkraut

1 Onion Diced

Hot Dog Buns

You can’t get much simpler than this recipe.

Add the hot dogs to a frying pan.  These Earth Grown ones from Aldi’s are our current favorite, but use what you like.  There are many vegan brands to choose from.

Top with the sauerkraut. We use many different brands.  It usually just depends what’s on sale.

Cook over medium heat.  Chop up the onion while the dogs are cooking.

The entire process only takes a few minutes.

Load the dogs, kraut, and onions onto the hot dogs buns.   Top with ketchup and mustard.  Eats to your hearts content.
