Basil, Basil, Basil
We have all heard of this versatile herb. Most of us have used it in our meals many times. Pizza, pasta, and any Italian dishes come to mind.
This herb has anti-aging and antibacterial properties. Low in calories, this inflammation fighting super herb is packed with phytochemicals, antioxidants, magnesium, iron, calcium, and potassium.
Vitamin A, K, and C are all found in basil.
So what is my tip of the day?
Throw this shit on some hummus—-YES—-Hummus!
We were having a potluck at work the other day and a coworker made homemade hummus with some roasted tomatoes and jalapenos on the top. Then he sprinkled fresh basil from his garden. OMG! I would have never thought to do that. Basil? Hummus?
Believe me when I say that they are a match made in Heaven.
