Benefits of Veganism!
Adopting veganism is one of the single best decisions that you can make for the animals, your health, and our environment. Putting the animals and environment aside, I want to focus on why veganism is perfect for your health.
Sure, you can eat junk food and feel pretty shitty, but if you educate yourself on what’s what, your body will thank you.
A well balanced vegan diet helps your body to thrive on the inside and out. Evidence continues to mount as to how a vegan diet can significantly reduce the risk of developing some very serious health conditions.
Look around you at all the people that are severely overweight. Take a pill for this and a pill for that seems to be a common motto. Proven risks from eating meat and animal by-products have been proven to aid in inflammation and disease.
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Erectile Dysfunction
- Heart Disease
- Premature Ageing
- High Blood Pressure
The list goes on and on. With these problems, why would anyone want to ever eat meat, dairy, and eggs again?
My oldest son (who is not a vegan) had horrible acne problems. He tried everything from over the counter face washes, medications, chemical peels, and even antibiotics. Nothing touched his acne.
He did research and found some articles on dairy and inflammation. He decided to ditch dairy for two weeks. Within that two weeks, his acne completely cleared up. It was that simple. He hasn’t drank dairy milk in almost three years now and rarely eats any dairy. For the most part his acne hasn’t returned.
Despite the growing evidence of disease causing properties, meat, egg, and dairy consumption is still overwhelmingly the norm all around the world. People are afraid of change no matter how better for you that change could be.
Look at the current situation we are in with coronavirus! It’s like the Swine Flu, Bird Flu, and Mad Cow Disease………..and people continue to eat animals.
A balanced vegan diet is more than capable of providing the body with all the nutritional needs that it requires, including the full range of essential amino acids, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and yes even protein without the masses of saturated fat, cholesterol, steroids, and antibiotics that are the hallmarks of a modern animal agriculture diet.
Our ancestors ate meat but just because it happened in the past, doesn’t make it right now or in the future. One of the worst phrases in history is……we’ve always done it this way. Our bodies and the way we react to what foods we put in it prove that we are meant to be vegan.
Enjoying a plant-based diet has proven again and again that it’s not only good for our health, but superior in terms of nutrition, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and EVERYTHING your body needs to thrive and grow. So what exactly does a vegan diet provide?
- Improved sleep
- Aids in weight Loss
- Helps to lower cholesterol
- Improves kidney function
- Protects against certain cancers
- Reduces joint pain
- Increases energy
- Improves digestive health
- Decreases PMS symptoms
- Clears skin
- Reduces cardiovascular risk
- Lowers blood sugar levels
Dairy is scary. Eggs aren’t incredible and edible. Meat is murder. You can live without cheese. Vegan meat, dairy, and egg alternatives are delicious and vegan product offerings are growing daily!
As more and more people go plant-based and vegan every year, the fundamental realization that humans really aren’t meant to eat meat or animal by-products is gaining ever more prominence.
There is still a long way to go. If you are not yet vegan and you choose to go down that route, you will be returning your body to where it really should be when it comes to what you eat.
Take a stand with your health and go vegan today. The animals, the planet, and especially your body and health will thank you.
